Undergraduate Student Senate finalized the amounts it will pay the new members of Undergraduate Student Government yesterday.

Each position is paid a set amount per semester. The 16 newly added senatorial positions will each be paid $837. USG’s newly added programming committee, which consists of four members, will also receive $837. The nine members of the executive cabinet will make double that amount at $1,673. Executive director will make $2,510.

Elections for USG will be March 10 and 11. Katie Hale, current executive director, said she feels relief that the year-long restructuring is finally nearing an end.

“I kind of can’t believe it sometimes,” Hale said. “It’s exciting. It’s this new generation of student government.”

USS is sponsoring a voter registration drive beginning at 10:30 a.m. in the Student Center to register students to vote for the general election in November. The group will also be holding an open forum for USG’s executive cabinet candidates tonight at 6 p.m. in the Rathskeller.
