Kent State men’s basketball guard Chris Singletary has been suspended indefinitely for violating a team policy. Athletic director Laing Kennedy made the decision Sunday before the Flashes played Western Michigan at the M.A.C. Center.

“We fully support Chris as he goes through this difficult time and we look forward to him rejoin the team in the near future,” Kennedy said in a press release Sunday.

Singletary has started the last eight games for the Flashes, averaging 10.3 point per game. Kent State is 18-7 all-time when Singletary is in the starting line-up. Singletary’s 74.2 percent shooting is the best in the Mid-American Conference.

Singletary was suspended for two games earlier this season for violating Kent State University policy.
