A clothing drive sponsored by Campus Catalyst, a newly formed student organization, will be held from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Nov. 7 on the second floor of the Student Center.

Campus Catalyst is an organization for Kent State students who go to the Catalyst Church in Kent and want to represent the church during campus events.

“We are going to collect clothes, accessories, shoes and donate them to local clothing centers or homeless shelters, “said Erica Prong, junior English major and president of Campus Catalyst.

Prong said the organization wants to take its campus involvement, including Homecoming and the Black Squirrel Festival, and expand it into the community.

Prong said they will accept anything someone doesn’t want or doesn’t use anymore. Any clothes, shoes and coats would be appreciated. She also said they are also hoping to receive some accessories such as jewelry, hats, gloves and scarves to donate along with the other items.
