The Shootahs found themselves in a battle Monday night against team Mercy Rule, who took an early lead by hitting the outside J’s, quickly gaining a 15-point lead.

But The Shootahs regrouped with contributions from four pick-up players and defended, shot and rallied their way back to a close one-possession game.

The Shootahs showed great intensity by talking on defense and fighting for all the loose balls, even if it called for a bruise and some blood.

Notable efforts go to guard Stephanie “AI” Wright, and post players Sarah “Shaq” Golias and Amanda “Hops” May.
