Student arrested in connection with Halloween incident

A Delta Upsilon fraternity member was arrested this afternoon for involvement in a tow truck running a man over on Halloween weekend.

According to the Kent Police Department, Nicholas Zajac, 20, of 202 S.Lincoln St., was arrested and charged with felonious assault after Dana Lim sustained serious injuries outside the Delta Upsilon fraternity house.

As previously reported in the Daily Kent Stater, witnesses at the scene said someone standing in front of the fraternity house pushed Lim into the side of a tow truck. Lim fell and was run over by the truck’s back tires.

A hospital representative said Lim remains in serious condition at Akron City Hospital.

Police said the incident is still under investigation and future arrests are likely.
