First of several presidential search forums to be held today

The presidential search committee will hold an open forum at 5:30 p.m. today in the Kiva. Anyone can attend to discuss what he or she wants the search committee to look for in the next president of Kent State.

There will also be a student forum at 2 p.m. Friday. The location has not yet been confirmed, but the committee may decide on the Eastway lounge, said administrative secretary Linda Kollar. Updates will be posted on the search committee’s Web site, located on Kent State’s home page.

“They’re keyed toward certain people, but students are certainly allowed to attend (tonight) and others can attend the student one on Friday,” she said. “They’re all open.”

The search committee will be hosting these forums across all eight campuses because the next presidential choice will affect everyone. The Web site also features an online survey for community members to express their opinions.
